James Willard Clark
July 10, 1927 - August 18, 2016
Master Sergeant James W. Clark, United States Marine Corps, retired. Born July 10, 1927 at Elbe, Arkansas, Van Buren County at the home of his grandparents Curt and Caroline Connett to the late Otto and Alvetta Connett Clark was taken home to his heavenly father August 18, 2016 at Ozark Health.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Hixon Clark of 42 years. Five daughters Kay Clark Land of Chehalis, WA – sons Joshua (Lisa) and Casey (Tori), Phyllis Clark Ryan (Bruce) of Tallahassee -sons Christopher and Jacob, FL, Liz Clark Barnum of Louisville, KY – son Alex and daughter Megan, Carol Clark Billiot of San Antonio, TX – sons Zachary Clark and Zane Billiot, Narda Clark Ybrarra of San Antonio, TX – son Michael and seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by sister Caroline and brother Robert M. Clark, step daughter Katherine Ann Keko, infant grandson Jeremiah Godwin and grandfather Dr. F.M. Clark.

His preteen years were spent on Highway 65 near the Maumelle exit and he later joined the Marine Corps in 1945. He attended Boot Camp at Paris Island, South Carolina and was called to action in 1950 to the Korean War. Later he was called to action during the Viet Nam War.
He received numerous recognitions for his service in the military. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, VFW 4764, American Legion 333, Shriners and Masonic Lodge.

Visitation Sunday, August 21 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, AR 5-7pm and Service Monday at Clinton United Methodist Church a 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Blackwell Cemetery in Bee Branch.
