Gladyce Geisler of Carmen, Oklahoma was born Gladyce Hermann, June 22, 1927, the youngest daughter of Ben and Merriam Hermann. She went to be with the Lord August 16, 2016 at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 25 days at Alva, Oklahoma.

She was raised in Alva and graduated from Alva High School before marrying Virgil Geisler on August 1, 1945.

Gladyce and Virgil moved to Carmen, where they lived for 64 years, building a life together farming and raising cattle. She also worked at Central State Bank in Hopeton for several years.

She and Virgil were members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Alva, which now rests on family property that she helped provide. Her home in Carmen and the land on which it rests were the center of Gladyce's universe and she deeply cared for every creature living on it.

Gladyce is survived by her three nephews, Doug Fugit of Memphis, Gary of Wichita and Mark of Dallas.

Gladyce was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Cheatum and her parents.
