As a hard working young man he learned the trade of a Lineman and eventually founded the Salish Construction Company in 1988. Tony finished his career putting in 68 years as a IBEW union member.
He had a strong Indian heritage and as a child enjoyed being a part of the Indian rodeo. He shared his love for hunting, Pow Wows and his favorite Seahawks team with his family. He also loved God’s creation and in the last few years spent much of his time enjoying his back porch overlooking the forest which was bathed in sunlight.
He is survived by his wife Helene Anderson, daughter Toni (Charlie) Ballard, sons Jack (Gloria), Jerry (Cyndee), Laney, Rick, Corey and Colton Anderson, sister Donna Melchior, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends both from work and the tribe. He is preceded in death by his son Connor and two sisters.
Dad, you lived an amazing life with much gusto, teaching us a work ethic that lives on in your children. It is with respect and wonder when we think of your tenacity in overcoming the odds of a difficult childhood. You will forever be remembered and loved.
Rosary will be Friday, August 19, 7 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Cle Elum. Funeral service is Saturday, August 20, with viewing at 10 a.m. and mass at 11:00 a.m., St. John’s Catholic Church in Cle Elum. Burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery will follow.
