Henry Hershell Cox, 70, of Ripley passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday evening at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley. Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday at Garner Funeral Home with burial following in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Cox was a member of Chisholm Lake Club and Macedonia Baptist Church.
The widower of Betty Jean Watson Cox, he is survived by a son Henry Cox Jr. of Ripley; a sister Eva Miller of Ripley and Maxine Watkins; a brother Oneal Cox of the Philippines; three grandchildren Courtney Williamson, Brittany Cox and Joshua Cox all of Ripley; and two great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by a sister Gracie Ammons and three brothers Joe Cox, Calvin Cox, and David Cox.
