Anna Ruth Lambert age 78 of North Tazewell, Virginia passed away at her home surrounded by her family and friends Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Born February 4, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Lula Sisk Keen. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed shopping. She always made everyone feel welcome in her home. She was always praising God and always had a smile on her face and had kind words for everyone.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dexter Keen, Ralph Keen and Paul Keen; one sister, Ruby Hale; one grandson, Shane Campbell.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 58 years, J.C. Lambert; four daughters, Karen Shortt and husband Rick of Raven, VA, Rita Campbell of the home, Donna Woods and husband Michael of the home, Chasity Martin and husband Bobby of Lexington, NC; one son, Ronnie Lambert of North Tazewell, VA; one brother, Arnold Keen and wife Wilda of Paintlick, VA; one sister, Ann Justice of Rosedale, VA; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend Donna Murray. Special thanks to Michelle Thornhill, Teresa Stevenson and also Helping Hands Hospice for helping her thru her sickness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Virginia with the Rev. Grady McGlothlin and Rev. Lonnie Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 P.M. Thursday and Friday at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
