William F. Woodard Dies at Hospital
William F. Woodard of East Arlington died at Putnam Memorial hospital at two o'clock this morning following several weeks' illness. He had been a patient in the hospital for 10 days.
A native of Sandgate, Feb. 26, 1865, he had lived in that town and Arlington all his life. He had been engaged in farming during his active years. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Alice Hayes of East Arlington, with whom he had made his home since the death of his wife, the former Alice Dennison, in 1944. Five grandchildren are also left.
The funeral will be held from Haynes & Kane Funeral Home on Safford street Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. J. J. Prudom of South Shaftsbury will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Arlington.
