Sonya Louise Hatfield, 56, of Belfry, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at her residence.

Born December 23, 1959, at Williamson, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Cecil Hatfield of Williamson, and the late Gail Rose Perkins Hatfield.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Benjamin Heath Wagner.


She was a school teacher, story teller, photographer, Kentucky Colonel, and had many other interests. She graduated from Williamson High School in the class of 1978. She was a graduate of Marshall University.

She is survived by her father, Cecil Hatfield, husband, Russell J. "Rusty" Hall; and sisters: Marsha (Marty) Wagner of Phelps, Ky., and Lynn Barker of Williamson. She is also survived by her special niece, Kelsey Marie Barker of Williamson; nephew, Craig Paxton Wagner of Phelps, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends.

Per her request, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Ferrell officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
