The funeral of John E. Bechdolt, whose death occurred on Tuesday, August 9, was held at the Christian church on Thursday afternoon, Rev. E. J. Harris officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery east of Francesville. Mr. Bechdolt was born in Portland, Ind., November 9, 1878. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bechdolt, came to this county when he was 8 years old; both preceded him in death. He was married to Daisy Belle Circle in 1903. About three years ago he became a sufferer from cancer and had been an invalid ever since. In 1911 he became a member of the Christian church under the pastorate of Rev. J. M. Weddle, and for a long time had been one of the deacons. He leaves his wife, seven brothers, George of Lima, O.; Will of Hepner, Ore.; Henry of Pennsylvania; J. V. Bechdolt of Francesville; Samuel of Camden, Ind.,; Rev. Burley of North Manchester, and Frank of Lafayette.
