Salem, Oregon - Becky's courageous 14 month battle with lung cancer ended April 1st, 2016 at the young age of 50.

Becky was the daughter of Phil Ridling of Salem, Oregon and Glenda Barker of Keizer, Oregon. Becky was born on June 29, 1965 in Pocatello, Idaho.

Becky attended Robert Service High School in Anchorage, Alaska and went on to earn her degree as a Dental Hygienist Assistant in Portland, Oregon. In 1984, Becky met Mark Champion and they were married in 1984. Becky and Mark went on to have two children, Chris and Nick Champion. Becky and Mark divorced several years later. Becky went on to have 3 more children, Teara, Chance, and Timothy.

Becky loved to fish and often went with her dad where they would spend hours fishing off the shore. Becky recently fell in love with the game of pool and was on a Pool League. You would often find her practicing and/or playing league at Jake's off of 12th Street. You could always get some smack talking out of her when you started talking pool but Becky could hold her own and often beat her opponents.

Becky is survived by her mother Glenda Barker, sister RaeLynne Leavitt, brothers, Phil Martin, Syd Houston, Curt Martin, Gary Martin, Phil Ridling; and her children: Chris Champion and his wife Angela and their child Caleb (grandson), Nick Champion and Becca Friedel and their child Piper (granddaughter), her daughter Teara Champion, and her youngest boys Chance and Timothy. Becky was preceded in death by her father Phillip Dean Ridling in 2010.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
