HEATHER ANNE SUTTON
Heather Anne Kuzdas Sutton passed away Monday August 15,2016 at the age of 43 in the Sutter Delta hospital in Antioch, California after a courageous battle with cancer for 6 years.

At the time of her death, Heather resided with her husband Jayson and her three children Mackenzy, Madyson, and Maxym in their home in Brentwood, California.

Heather was born in Mesa, Arizona on August 2, 1973 to parents Adrian Charles Kuzdas and Maureen Ellen Cazier Kuzdas. She is survived by them, and her husband Jayson Henry Sutton, two daughters Mackenzy Anne, Madyson Lane, son Maxym Jay, four sisters Tiffany Michelle Kuzdas Cavalieri (Henderson, Nevada), Kristy Lynn Kuzdas Williams (Downingtown, Pa), Jennifer Elaine Kuzdas Ellsworth (Rochester, Mn), Afton Nicole Kuzdas West (Gilbert, Az), a brother Kenneth Adrian Kuzdas (Queen Creek Az), and In-Laws Ambers Charley Sutton, and Carol Jeanne Sutton of Mesa, AZ.

Heather attended Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona where she participated on their track team as a hurdler and graduated in 1991. She subsequently attended Chandler/Gilbert Community College, Mesa Community College, and Arizona State University before leaving on an LDS mission in Buenos Aires Argentina from 1994 through 1996 where she developed a great love for the work of the Lord and the people of Argentina.

Heather met Jayson, the love of her life in High School and he served a mission for the LDS Church as well in Portland Oregon from 1993 through 1995. Heather returned home a few months after Jayson in January 1996 and was reunited with family and Jayson, who had waited anxiously for her return. The two were engaged to be married a month later. Their beautiful wedding was performed in the LDS Mesa Arizona Temple on May 18, 1996.

Family life began in earnest with the birth of Mackenzy in January 1998, followed by Madyson in June 2000, and Maxym in April 2002. During that time, Jayson’s employment took them from Mesa, AZ to Sussex, NJ , then to Downingtown , PA, and on to Brentwood, CA.

Heather served in multiple Church callings including Early Morning Seminary Instructor, Relief Society President, Stake YW Presidency, Primary and many others.

Heather was diagnosed while in PA with MDS (a blood cancer disorder) and received a bone marrow transplant in 2011. Her recovery was arduous; but through her drive and commitment to serve her family and others (which were always her priorities) she was able to move on with life to its fullest.

Unfortunately, upon arrival in Brentwood, CA her MDS returned even stronger. She received a second bone marrow transplant in November 2015 which failed to help. Her fight over the disease never ceased even until the end, but Heather’s thoughts were always towards others whom she could help. Even until the very end, she was still verbalizing a plan, and directing things to help others have a great time.

People who knew Heather and thousands who only knew her because of the loving comments made by those who did, know that Heather was perhaps the kindest person they ever knew, with her emphasis on making others happy. We are happy now to know that she is happy and feeling well in the presence of her Father in Heaven, and continuing to make those around her happy.

A viewing and visitation will be held from 5-8PM at the Brentwood Funeral Home 839 1st Street Brentwood CA 94513 on Wednesday 8/17.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday 8/18 at 4PM at the LDS Chapel 1875 Highland Way Brentwood, CA 94513

Interment and a brief gravesite dedication will take place in Mesa, AZ on Saturday 8/20 at 1:00PM at the City of Mesa Cemetery 1212 N. Center Street Mesa, AZ 85201

All those who knew Heather and loved her like the rest of us are welcome at any and all of these services and gatherings.

The world feels a void in Heather’s absence, but Heaven is just that much brighter!
