Manuel Glen Williams, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Putney, Kentucky, son of the late Bud and Mary Williams. He married Norma Forrest, in 1952, and she survives.

Glen served in the United States Air Force as a meteorologist from 1953 to 1974 and earned the rank of Technical Sargent. Following his military service, Glen obtained a bachelor degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska and moved to Fort Wayne. He retired in 1986 from the civil service as a meteorologist at Baer Field Airport. He attended Waynedale Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and assisted in the office, and was a member of the American Legion and The University of Nebraska Pen and Sword.

In addition to his beloved wife, Norma Williams, he is survived by a sister, Martha Allen of Kokomo and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Williams and sister, Naomi Lambert.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Waynedale Baptist Church, 633 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne, with Pastor Wayne Gullion officiating. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church. A second funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, 44 Michigan St., Burlington, with Pastor Wayne Gullion officiating. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
