George was raised in Vernon County. George was known as a "Jack" of all trades. He worked at various jobs including time in the oilfields, painting water towers, and truck driving. George retired as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed watching westerns on TV and he had a quiet disposition.
In addition to his wife, Clara, he is survived by three daughters, Diana Dennison (Gene), Walker, Janice Gwin (David), Nevada, and Maryann Canet (John), Burns, Kan.; two sons, Terry Miler (Carol), Walker, and Randy Miler (Amy), Lamar; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Raymond Lee Miler, Lamar; and two sisters, Anna Mary Johnson, Casper, Wyo., and Julia Carpenter, Nevada, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Daryl Dean Miler.
A Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at 6 p.m., Monday, July 11, at 903 Grand, in Lamar.
