William J. (Bill) Settegast III, 70, passed away June 24, 2016 in Kingwood, Texas. Bill was born September 10, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Norma Lee Parker Settegast and William J. Settegast Jr., who both preceded him in death. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister Mary Diane Settegast.

Bill was a graduate of San Jacinto High School class of 1965 in Houston, he then continued his education at Houston Community College where he obtained his Associates Degree. He worked for Balcor Property Management from 1985 to 1993 as a District Property Manager and in 1993 he began Cart Leasing, Inc. where he served as Owner and President until 2016. Bill had numerous accomplishments through his life. He served as a State of Texas Reserve Peace Officer for Harris County in the early 1970’s and was a mentor to many people. Bill was a part of MD Anderson’s, Houston Ground Angels long before he himself had cancer; he was also an active member in the Kona Kai HOA in Crystal Beach; he enjoyed fishing & visiting other neighbors and assisting them with their projects.

Bill is survived by his sister, Barbara Boylston; sons, William Marshall Settegast and wife Tina and Scott Charles Settegast and wife Angela; grandchildren, Ryan, Lacey, Sarah, Morgan, Courtney and Cheyenne; great grandchildren, Rylee and Greyson; loving mother to his two sons and dear friend, Linda Settegast Larremore; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members. He was sincerely loved and will be greatly missed by us all.

The family welcomes those who would like to pay tribute to Bill to please join them Friday, July 1, 2016, for a visitation beginning at 10:30 am to service time of 12 noon, at Woodridge Baptist Church, 5707 Kingwood Dr. Kingwood, TX 77345, private interment will follow at 2:30 pm, in Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, TX.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Settegast Family Memorial Fund at Woodridge Baptist Church; please mail checks to Woodridge Baptist Church at 5707 Kingwood Dr. Kingwood, TX 77345.
