Martha Elaine (Winders) Lowry, 68, Lee’s Summit MO, passed away 2 AUG 2016 at Lee’s Summit Hospital. A celebration of life will be conducted at the Deerbrook Covenant Church, 200 NE Tudor Road, Lee’s Summit MO 64086, Tuesday the 9th of AUG at 6PM. Martha Lowry was born 13 DEC 1947 in Warrensburg Missouri. She grew up in Warrensburg, graduating from High School in 1966 and later Central Missouri State University in 1980 as a Registered Nurse. She worked in numerous hospitals within the Kansas City area, culminating her career at St Luke’s Surgicenter in Lee’s Summit. She was active in her church, her community and the lives of her children and grandchildren. She loved reading, traveling, spending time with her family, her church, her friends and gardening. She will be forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother Gertrude Boswell Winders and her father John Estel Winders. She is survived by her siblings John Winders and GaeBelle Hulme and her three adult children; Lt. Col James Godfrey, Nicole Haralson, Andrew Lowry and six beloved grandchildren.
