Andrew B Gilbert, 79 was found dead at 3:30 pm Wednesday in the yard of the James Gilbert home, three miles northwest of North Webster, death said to have been caused by a heart attack.
The deceased was born in Switzerland county, southern Indiana, September 2, 1863, the son of the late William and Isobel Gilbert. North Webster had been his home for many years. He was a retired farmer and at the time of his death was residing with a son, James.
Mrs Gilbert, the former Mary Alice Herron, to whom he was united in marriage in 1885, died a number of years ago. Mr Gilbert was a member of the North Webster Brethren church.
Surviving other than the son, James are two brothers, Josh of Pierceton and Richard of Warsaw; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Phelps & Troxel funeral home, North Webster, Rev E Jones, North Webster officiating. Burial will be in North Webster cemetery. Warsaw Daily Union - June 25, 1943
