Pearl Brumm, 90, of Rock Island, Illinois, a former Mediapolis resident, died Saturday, July 23, in a Rock Island hospital. She was born May 2, 1893, in Kewanee, Illinois, to Andrew and Margaret Atkinson Burgess. She married Glen Bailey in Kewanee, on June 24, 1915; he died April 2, 1950. She married Clayton Brumm October 17, 1954; he died April 3, 1965. Mrs. Brumm was a retired school teacher, a member of the Mediapolis United Presbyterian Church, and the Kings Daughters Association. Surviving: three daughters, Margaret Hackley, Rock Island, [Mrs.] Elvert Teeter, Bonaparte, Illinois, and Mrs. Charles Katzenburger, LeClair; a son, Robert Bailey, Davenport; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Fry Chapel, Mediapolis, the Reverend Aaron Koskamp; Kossuth Cemetery.
