THOMAS HEY DIES AT HOME

Thomas Hey, 59, Shelby township farmer, died at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at his home, four miles southwest of Shelbyville.
Born Feb. 2, 1884, in Shelby township, he was the son of Peter and Minerva Hey. He had lived in the same home during his entire life. Mr. Hey was a member of the First Evangelical church.
Surviving are six brother, William and George, at home; Charles F., of Noble township; John W., of Jackson township; David and Danny Hey, of Shelby township, and two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Smith, of Shelby township, and Mrs. Delmon Clark, of Washington township. The late Mrs. Alvin Ray, was a sister.
Funeral services will be coducted at the Loren H. Murphy funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. John Knight, pastor of the Mt. Gilead Baptist church, and the Rev. J. C. Klingeberger, pastor of the First Evangelical church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Hey, including Morris Toner, Paul Smith, Carl Ray, Dan Hey, Jr., Garnet Clark and Charles Scheffler. Their wives will carry the flowers. (Obit: Shelbyville News, Apr. 12, 1943)
