David Leon Thrasher, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Collinwood, TN. Mr. Thrasher was a retired truck driver and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elais Polk and Bessie Viola Berry Thrasher; his wife, Emma Jean Thrasher; three brothers, Roy Thrasher, Glenn Thrasher, and Jackie Thrasher; and one sister, Iva Dean Lindsey.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Neal Funeral Home and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN. Funeral services will be conducted at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN at 1:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2016. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood, TN with full military honors.
