Mrs. Elizabeth Vanier, widow of Victor Vanier, died at Cohoes Hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Vanier, who was formerly Miss Elizabeth Charbonneau, had been a resident of this city for the last fifty years and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold Radcliff of Massena and Mrs. Robert Wheeler of Troy; six sons, Eugene, William, George, Ernest and Henry Vanier, all of Cohoes and Francis Vanier of Troy; a sister, Julia Bradshaw of Cohoes; a brother, John Charbonneau of North Adams, MA; 22 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In the 1910 census, Elizabeth, age 24, is living with her husband Victor A. in Cohoes, with their children: Victor 5, Edith E. 4, and Eugene 2. Her father Napoleon, age 57, born in Canada is also living with them. He is listed as 7 children born and 5 living.
