Rebecca was the daughter of Samuel Gaines and Rebecca Couch of Hartford, Connecticut. She was married on 21 Jan 1731/2 to Ezekiel Webster, the son of Jonathan Webster and Esther Judd of Hartford and Glastonbury, CT. They raised several children together, but her husband was killed in 1756 while on a military expedition in New York. Rebecca, sold land on 30 Dec 1771 and again on 13 Feb 1773, and lived the remainder of her life as his widow, dying at the age of 87 (minus a few days).
