John M. Huskey Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday August 14, 2016 at his home in Bellville, Texas at the age of 87. John served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After retiring from the Navy John and Nina moved to Texas and opened their Optical Shop (B&W Optical) in Bellville with Dr. Bob Neely's Office. John was known as the one to fit you with the right glasses. He was well known in his home town as a man with a big giving heart always willing to help ones that needed help with clothes or food and even took people in to his home for a good night's sleep. He shared his strong faith in The Lord with everyone. After retiring from his business he had a small farm in Buckhorn which he loved to attend to his cows.

Preceded in death by his wife Nina Mae, parents John M. Huskey Sr. and Willie Pearl Huskey, sister, Willie Edna Williams.

Survived by sons: Bryan Huskey and wife Martha, Raymond Huskey and Gwen Ramirez. Daughters: Rhonda Kidd and husband Gayland and Janice Baskin and husband David. Grandchildren: Amanda Dunkel, Joe Huskey, Andrea Clark, Travis Kidd, David Allan Baskin, Amy Schultz, and great grandchildren: Tanner Dunkel, Cole Dunkel, Danielle Dunkel, Hanna Clark, Karly Jo, Landry Clark, Kynleigh Kidd, Brandon Baskin, Jack Schultz and Evenlyn Schultz, nephew Clyde Henry Williams.

Pallbearers: Joe Huskey, Alan Baskin, Travis Kidd, Bobby Clark, Ken Haverlah and Les Evans Visitation was held Thursday August 18, 2016 from12-1 PM Knesek Funeral Chapel in Bellville, Texas
