DUNDALK, MD – Pansy K. (Moore) Martin, 87, of Dundalk, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at the Seasons Hospice Inpatient Care in Baltimore.

Born July 29, 1929, in New Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late John T. Martin Sr. and Viola E. (Bennett) Martin. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Melvin T. Moore, Sr.; son, David K. Moore; one sister, Violet Hubbard; and five brothers, Edward “Pete” Martin, Ralph Martin, Franklin Martin, Ernest Martin and Albert Martin.

Ms. Martin was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church, Jones Creek, MD, and a previous member of Laura Memorial Church of God, Mooresville, NC. She worked for Baltimore County School System and Del Capri Catering as a cook for many years. She enjoyed crafts, and loved to garden and sew.

She is survived by three daughters, Judith E. Church and husband Eddie, Fort Ashby, WV, Sharon K. Gay and husband Mel, Dundalk, MD, and Cynthia C. Payne and husband Donavan, Mooresville, NC; one son, Melvin T. Moore, Jr., Sparrows Point, MD; one daughter-in-law, Patricia (Jarrard) Moore, Ft. Howard, MD; one sister, Rose M. Pyle and husband Jeff, Burlington, WV; two brothers, John T. Martin, Jr., Petersburg, WV, and Joseph Martin, Cumberland, MD; eight grandchildren, Alisha Wrightson and husband Tom, Bill Gay and wife Holly, Jason Moore, Shane Moore, Christopher Moore, Sara Geldmacher, David Moore and Jonathan Moore; and four great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Gay, Alyson Gay, Brenna Gay and Trinity Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Thursday, August 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God, Fort Ashby, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Friday, August 19 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Caris and Pastor Wes Beahm officiating.

Interment will be in Mineral Baptist Church Cemetery, Keyser, WV.
