David A. Swann, 75, of Cobb Island, MD died on May 31, 2014 at his home.

He was born on December 22, 1938 in La Plata, MD to the late Philip and Dora Swann. His brother Philip Swann and sister Virginia Swann also predecease him.

He is survived by his son Tony Swann (Janet) daughter Kimberly Cassino, brothers William Swann, Donald Swann, Larry Swann, Jimmy Swann, and Mike Swann, sisters Margie Boyers, Estelle Carpentiere, Linda Czar, Kay Gregor, Patricia Popp, and Phyllis Kerschburg. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.

David loved getting up early to do what he loved being on the water Oystering, fishing, and crabbing. He spent his whole life working in some type of service to the community. He was the oldest of 14 children.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 9:30 AM until Mass time at 11 AM at the Holy Ghost Church, Issue, Md. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Ghost Church building and maintenance fund.
