Wayne Michael Watkins, 71, affectionately known as “Fuzzy” departed this life on August 10, 2016. Wayne was born November 6, 1944 to Albert and Hessie Watkins in Rockingham, NC.

He was a resident of Pine Hall, NC. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He retired from AT&T after 30 years of service.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Mia Whitehead.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Whitehead (Mikie Norman) of Woodberry, NJ and Bernetha “Bonita” (James) Nixon of Monroe, NC; three grandchildren, Eric, Brandi, and Kayla Witherspoon, all of Charlotte, NC; three siblings, Charles Watkins, Betty Watkins of Walkertown, NC, and Stevie Watkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
