Darrill Wayne Helquist peacefully returned home surrounded by his loving family on 18 Nov 2010 at home. He was born 13 January 1951 in Murray, Utah to Boyd LaCon and Phyllis Louise Ditlevsen Helquist. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1969 and attended Weber State University. He served an LDS mission to Pennsylvania in 1970. He married Debbie Tanton 6 Nov 1976 in Brigham City; their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple on 11 Nov 1978.

Darrill worked for Thiokol in the Quality Assurance Department.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing and riding his motorbike. He enjoyed going to car shows and restoring his Camaro with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his family especially his granddaughters. He always put his family first and lent a helping hand to others. He was very honest and will be missed by many friends and his loving wife of 34 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cody Cay Helquist.

Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
