"Mr. Hillis Hargis, age 86 of Franklin, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, TN. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 11am with burial to follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens where military honors will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard. A native of Macon County Tennessee, he was the son of the late Jackson Hargis and Hortense Crowder Hargis. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. Mr. Hargis was preceded in death by a 2 sisters – Naomi Graves and Frances Davenport. He is survived by his wife – Elizabeth Louise Sloan Hargis of Franklin; 5 sons – Danny Ray Hargis of Franklin, Ralph Eugene Hargis (Vondah) of Scottsville, Bruce Eugene Hargis (Freeman Kitchens) of Bowling Green, Darrell Lee Hargis (Linda) of Portland and Timothy Alan Hargis (Brandy) of Franklin; 1 sister – Velva Barnes of Indiana; 1 brother – Kenneth Hargis of Bowling Green; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 3pm Monday and after 6am Tuesday at Crafton Funeral Home."
