Loretta Jean Hartman, 78, Excelsior Springs, died November 19, 2006 at her home. Loretta was born on July 11, 1928 in Elmira, the daughter of David Joshua and Emma (James) Miller. She married Uel "Bill" Hartman on September 20, 1945, in Leavenworth, KS, and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2005.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanett G. and Larry Baxter of Excelsior Springs; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Miller; sisters, Dorothy Woodside, Stella Frazier, and an infant sister, Lola Mae Miller.
Graveside services were November 22, at the Old Union Cemetery, east of Lawson, with Rev. Terry Barnes officiating.
