He retired as a teacher from Broward County School District.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Lord) Batchelor; parents, Russell Batchelor and Olive (Dunlap) Batchelor Davis; sisters, Janet (Batchelor) Henderson and Nancy (Batchelor) Vortolomei; and brother, Lawrence D. Batchelor.
Surviving is brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
Private burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
