Millard G. Fletcher, age 73, of Ida, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2003, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born in Lake City, Arkansas, on June 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Rudy V. and Edith (Scroggins) Fletcher. Mr. Fletcher had been a resident of Ida for twenty-seven years, and he established Fletcher's Grocery and Hardware Store. An active community leader, Mr. Fletcher served on the Cleburne County Hospital Board and helped organize the Volunteer Fire Departments of Tumbling Shoals-Ida and Drasco. He also served on the Board of the Tumbling Shoals-Ida Fire Department. He was a Mason and a member of Sugar Loaf Masonic Lodge #414. Mr. Fletcher was a member of Pleasant Ridge Union Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Crites) Fletcher of Ida, AR four sons, Dale Fletcher of Cabot, AR Robert Fletcher of Folsom, California Jack Fletcher of Ida, AR and Rudy Fletcher of Hot Springs, AR one daughter, Wendy Fletcher of Bigelow, AR one brother, Jesse Fletcher of Woodland, California one sister, Brenda Sue Minatre of Sacramento, California twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Fletcher is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
