Robert Dean Skidmore passed away at the age of 80, on October 12, 2011, surrounded by his family at Rideout Hospital in Marysville, CA, after a valiant battle with bone cancer.

The youngest of 11 children, Robert was born in Logan, Utah. He served in the U.S. Air force. He worked for the Division of Highways for 35 years.

Throughout his life Robert was devoted to service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day-Saints. He served as a Bishop, also as a missionary in Australia with his wife, and 16 years as a caretaker at Zion's Camp.

His posterity, who brought him his greatest joy include his sweetheart of 57 years; sons, daughters, 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, October 17, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the LDS Church's Stake Center at 1470 Butte House Road in Yuba City. Viewing at the same location will begin one hour prior. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
