A celebration of life service for Mr. Robert "Bob" Alan Johnson, age 86, will be held at First Baptist Church of Montmorenci with Rev. Waco Cotney and Rev. Rick West officiating.

Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was a native of El Paso, TX, and had made Aiken County his home for the past 43 years moving here from Ft. Pierce, FL.

He was the husband of Mrs. Sylvia Younginier Williams Johnson of Gilbert, SC, and a son of the late Mr. Alpha C. Johnson and the late Mrs. Mary King Johnson.

Affectionately known as Mr. Bob, he retired in 1982 from Kimberly Clark, Beech Island, SC with 15 years of service. He was a very talented auctioneer having owned and operated the Montmorenci Auction Barn and the New Ellenton Auction Barn from 1970-1982. Mr. Bob also was the owner and operator of the Friendly Flea Market of Montmorenci. He patented the invention of Microwavable boiled peanuts and marketed Mr. Bob's boiled peanuts in the convenience and major food stores. Mr. Bob wrote and published a book "God First" and also played the Boom Bass and recorded the songs he wrote in Nashville, TN. In his earlier days Mr. Bob Trained thoroughbred horses at Calumet Farms for which many of the horses he trained raced at the Kentucky Derby, and other major horse tracks throughout the United States.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Bob was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Montmorenci.

Additional survivors include three sons, Lindy Lott, Aiken, Jerry (Vera) Lott, Aiken, Lucky (Barbara) Johnson, Montmorenci; four daughters, Nancy (Hack Goodwin) McClure, Aiken, Mitzi Nichols, Beech Island, Vikki (Charles Young) Choate, Aiken, Maryannie (Fred) Wienbeck, Aiken; one sister, Alpha Kimes, Victoria, TX; twenty grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mr. Bob was predeceased by his first wife, Mrs. Dolly Summer Lott Johnson and one son, Timmy "T.J." Johnson.
