Wayne Everett West, age 85, died of natural causes on June 10, 2016,in Roseburg,Douglas,Oregon. Wayne is survived by his wife,Urldine,of 49 years. They were married on April 8, 1968; his children, Cindy (husband Jonny) Visconti of GA, Glen and Faye West, David and Julie West of AZ; step-children June and Howard Bundy of WA, Jayne Knight, Alan and Angela Knight, Donald and Pamela Knight of CA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wayne was a loving husband with a large family. Wayne was born on July 20,1930 in Ft. Wayne, IN to parents Harry and Edna West. He accepted a position as a building inspector for the city of Anaheim, CA, where he worked for 25 years before retiring as the Chief Building Inspector.
Wayne was a recording artist and a nationally known Square Dance Caller who was deeply involved in his singing career for the majority of his life. He enjoyed making people happy through his music. His reward was seeing their smiles. Wayne's family and friends will always remember him as a strong hard working individual.
