Susie Akin, age 48, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away in Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri. She was born to E. Lavern and Maxine (Wise) Short.
She was a 1977 Bolivar High School graduate, a Southwest Missouri State University graduate and a special education teacher.
She was united in marriage to Norman Akin on June 17, 1983.
Her father and one nephew, Linden Short, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Norman of the home; her mother Maxine Short of Springfield, Mo.; her brother and his wife, John and Maureen Short of Nevada, Missouri.
Funeral service were held November 30, 2006 in Pitts Chapel, Bolivar, Missouri.
