Funeral services for Katie Terry will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at United Pentecostal Church in Cotton Valley. Burial will follow at Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Terry, 83, was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Athens, but spend most of her life in Cotton Valley. She died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, in Portland, Oregon.
Katie Terry was married for 61 years to her late husband, Grady Terry, who passed away in 2001. She recently moved to Portland to live with her daughter Kathy Yoshida and her husband, Carl.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Yoshida and Sunny Tate and their families; one brother, Frank Callender of Minden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
