Mr. Calvin Lucas George, 26, of Granite Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
Mr. George was born Oct. 16 1980, in Caldwell County, to Noah Ernest "Hank" George of Lenoir and Mrs. Opal Marie Smith of Granite Falls.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ernest Lewis George and his wife, Amy, of Lenoir; four sisters, Donna George Hamby and her husband, Billy, of Lenoir, Dora George Miller and her husband, David, of Morganton, Angela George Speagle and her husband, Billy, of Connelly Springs and Karen George Edwards of Morganton; his step-mother, Lucille George; a step-brother, Kevin Shomaker; seven nieces and seven nephews; and one great niece and one great nephew.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Kayla Brook Wilson; his paternal grandparents, H.L. George and Bleaker Johnson George; and his maternal grandparents, A.V. Smith and Eunice Bumgarner Smith.
Burial will follow in East Hudson Baptist Church Cemetery.
