MRS. SUSIE BISHOP

ELDON - Mrs. Susie May GIRE BISHOP, 77, died at her home here Friday at 3:15 p. m. after an illness of nine years. She had been seriously ill for six days.

The daughter of Gabe and Elizabeth MATTHEWS GIRE, she was born in Van Buren county July 6, 1871. Her marriage to Creighton BISHOP took place November 27, 1895. A resident of Eldon for the past 42 years, she was a member of the Christian church here.

Mrs. BISHOP is survived by her husband; two sons, Logan HANSHAW and Una BISHOP of Fairfield; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death.

Services will be held Sunday at 4 p. m. at the Campbell - Rupp funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Earl Erb of the Eldon Methodist church. Burial will be in the Eldon cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward GIRE, Albert SLUTT, George POLLOCK, Orville ROBISON, Floyd ROBISON and Lloyd HANSHAW. The body is at the Campbell - Rupp funeral home.
