COLUMBUS, KANSAS: Audrey Joan Smith, age 82, passed away At 12:30 pm, Friday, August 12, 2016 in Columbus, KS following an illness.
Mrs Smith was born December 10, 1933 in Farlington, Kansas. Her parents were Ray and Ada (Herlocker) Martin.
After graduating from High School with the class of 1951, she attended beauty school. She was a homemaker. She attended Sherwin Christian Church, Sherwin, KS and had been involved with the Rainbow Girls Club. Her hobbies included tole painting, crocheting, and quilting.
She was married to Harvey Dale Smith on May 28, 1952 in Sapulpa, OK. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son Richard Ray Smith and a great-granddaughter, Emersyn Rai Smith.
Surviving is one sister, Barbara Jean Watkins (husband, Jerry) Columbus, KS, two grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren,; and special friends John and Mary Torchia and Shirley Grant.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS. Pastor Dennis Johnson will officiate. Graveside services will be later that day at 2:30 pm, at Olympus Cemetery near Grove OK.
