Harry was born in Pepacton, NY (now a reservoir). He never married. He was a farmer and a member of the grange. Obituary says he was a man of exceptionally clean character and integrity, and one whose word could always be relied upon. He possessed a serene, genial disposition, which won for him a large circle of friends. He was educated at the Downsville school and later took a course in business college. He united with the Downsville M.E. church and later transferred to the Rockland ME church. He lived his last years taking care of his widowed mother, with whom he lived following the death of his father. Interment in the Downsville cemetery.
