Ronald Ray Means died Sunday, April 24th at Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.

He was born on October 8, 1951 in Montgomery, Alabama to Garfield and Earnestine Delores Means.

He moved to Pensacola, Florida in the early 1950's and attended grade school there before moving to New York as a teenager to complete high school and college courses.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at age twelve. Through the years of his life he became a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ronald spent 5 1/2 years in the U.S. Army prior to his pursuing a career in data processing as a self-employed production coordinator.

He spent most of his adult life in and around New York and New Jersey. During the last ten years Ronald spent time in and out of Savannah, Georgia with His uncle and aunt Reverend John and Rev. Evangelist Helen Uzdevenes, III.

He is survived by a son, Ronald Ray Means, Jr.,; his son's mother, Diane Joy Means and one grandson, Jorden Means; five sisters, Diane Faye Means, Kimberly Shurette Means, Sorays Means, Odumosu and her husband, Peter Odumosu, Stacy Means, Odumosu and her husband, Peter Odumosu, Stacy Means, Frayea Means; a brother, Larry Flynn Means and his wife, Sonia Means all of New York. Four aunts, Odessa Mary Wiley, Moss Point, Mississippi and Uncle Bennie Wiley Sr., Reverend Evangelist Helen Uzdevenes, Savannah, Georgia and her husband, Reverend John Uzdevenes, II, Glennie L. Laura Cunningham, New York, Oquida McCadoo and her husband, Percy McCadoo, Houston, Texas, Uncle Earl Cunningham, New York and his wife, Lana of New Jersey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Viewing Monday night, May 2nd, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Funeral service Tuesday Morning, May 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at Michael and Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 1429 W. Bay Street, Savannah, Georgia 31415 with Rev. John and Rev. Evangelist Helen Uzdevenes, III of Our Neighbor Deliverance Ministries in Holiness, Inc. officiating.

Burial will be in the U.S. Military Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina with full Military Honors.
