Burris, David D. “Dave”, died unexpectedly on July 30, 2016 in Canon City, Colorado, at the age of 59. He was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed. Dave was born to Donald and Patricia Burris on the 9th of January, 1957 in Wichita, KS. He was a 1975 graduate of Derby High School and was employed as a painter by The Hentzen Company. Dave was an avid motocross and trials cyclist and he and Beth loved taking trips to Colorado with their friends to ride. He also loved hiking with his dogs, backyard gardening, cooking, and music. He lived life to the fullest and loved his family and all of his friends very much. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Burris. He is survived by his wife and best friend Beth; his mother Patricia; brothers Ken (Bobbie) of Wichita, Ron of Derby, Gary of Henderson, Nevada; sisters De (Kemp) of Andover and Karen (Doug) of Mesa, Arizona; stepson Alex; grandson Keith and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Broadway Mortuary at 1147 S. Broadway at Lincoln, Wichita, KS 67211. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kansas Humane Society.
