Tina Sue Hicks, age 47, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. She was born on November 17, 1968 to Virginia Woods Presnell and the late Dean Denny. In addition to her father, Tina was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Ronnie Hicks on May 29, 2015 and a son, Tyler Benjamin Hicks.
Tina was a devout mother and her passion in life was spending time with her children and family. She had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She was the ‘Big Sister’ that was always there no matter what. Tina was always happy and wanted to see everyone around her happy. She was the ‘life of the party’.
Those left to cherish Tina’s memory include her mother, Virginia Presnell; her beloved children: Autumn Hicks, Cody Lee Hicks, Dalton Benjamin Hicks, Tracey Lee Hicks, Caleb Isaac Walker and Evan Lee Walker; sisters and brothers-in-law: Jennifer Courtner and husband Joe, Tammy Click and husband Sam Click Sr. and Amanda Gentry and husband Paul; brother, Jeffrey Denney; several cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends: Kathy Courtner and all of her Co-Workers and Friends at Mountain City Care Center; special dog, Zeuss.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steven Spencer and Pastor Shannon Courtner officiating. Special music will be provided by Shannon Courtner. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Nelson Cemetery, located at Tiger Creek in Roan Mountain. Pallbearers will Sam Click Sr., Joe Courtner, Paul Gentry, S.K. Davis, Dustin Lewis, and Michael Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffrey Denney and Joseph Denney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
