Jerry C. Foster, age, 74, Erwin passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Unicoi County and a son of the late Arvie and Iva Guinn Foster. Mr. Foster was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Electrolux where he was employed as a machine operator. Mr. Foster was a member of Unicoi Church of God. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Arvie Foster, Jr.; two sisters: Mabel Hensley and Helen Vicars.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories one son, Scott Foster and wife, Amy; two daughters: Melissa White, Marsha Crain and husband, Scott; special step-son, Michael Byrd, all of Erwin; four brothers: his twin, Jack Foster and wife, Brenda of Greeneville, Quentin Foster and wife, Connie of Roswell, NM, Royce Wayne Foster and wife, Mary Lucille of Plano, TX, Kermit Foster of Erwin; two sisters: Yvonne Ledford of Bristol, TN, Renda Lowe and husband, Allen of Bristol, VA; six grandchildren: Amanda Sams, Justin White, Katie Crain, Caleb Crain, Matthew Rice and Heather Rice; one great grandchild, Reagan Sams. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered by the Kingsport VFW Post 4933. Those wishing to attend should assemble at the Mountain Home National Cemetery by 12:50 P. M. Tuesday.

PFC Jerry C. Foster served his country in the United States Army from Feb. 12, 1964 to Feb. 12, 1966. He was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, Fort Knox, Kentucky and in Thialand.

He was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children Jo Ann Tipton Foster. He leaves to mourn his passing three children, Scott (Amy) Foster, Lisa Foster White and Marsha (Scott) Foster Crain:
