She was a member of Whitney Lane Worship Center and she loved her church and church family. She was retired from General Industries in Bald Knob. She loved spending time with her family and she loved music especially gospel music.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years, Leonard Elijah Ellis, a son, Donald Ellis, three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Leonard Ellis of Searcy, Calvin Phillip Ellis of Pleasant Plains, three daughters, Wanda Faye Ellis of Collinsville, Illinois, Norma Jean Vaughn (Layne "Boss") of Searcy, Betty Sue Pearman (Mike), of Edwardsville, Illinois, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 2 PM -4 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral Services will be on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10 AM at the Whitney Lane Worship Center. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
