Reynolds Dana F. Reynolds Jr., November 21, 1921-October 2, 2014. Dana Reynolds Jr., of Upper Arlington, passed away on October 2, 2014 at Wesley Glen Retirement Community. Dana was a 1939 graduate of Grandview Heights High School where he was a member of the Grandview "Brotherhood of Rooks." He later went on to earn degrees in political science and mechanical engineering from Ohio State. Dana served in the armed forces and was stationed in China during WWII. Upon his return he worked as an engineer at Battelle and also served the Columbus Chamber of Commerce as an industrial analyst. He held a commercial real estate license and was instrumental in developing a number of commercial properties in the Columbus area. Dana married Marjorie B. Patton in 1949. Dana was involved in numerous local charities, and most notably was devoted to the "Charity Newsies." He and Marjorie were early members of Columbus International Program and hosted several CIP participants. For a time they were also active members of First Community Church. Dana and Marjorie deeded Marjorie's family home, "Spruce Run Nature Center," to the Columbus City Schools to serve as an outdoor education and science teaching facility. Dana is survived by his son, Dana III; his daughter, Sara (Sally); four grandchildren, Dana IV, Elizabeth, John, and Julia; and five great grandsons. The family will receive guests at the SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, between 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014. A private interment service will be held with the family.
