Funeral service for Mrs. Evelyn Hunter, 94, Tyler is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at New Zion Winona Baptist Church, with Supt. Noel Caldwell officiating and Elder James Williams as eulogist.
Mrs. Hunter died August 8, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 17, 1921 in Big Sandy, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Smith County. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
Mrs. Hunter graduated from Winona High School in Winona, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mr. Milton Hunter, Sr. and two sons.
Survivors include sons Milton (Thalia) Hunter Jr. and Larry (Bossa) Hunter both of Garland; daughters Evelyn (Chris) Camper and Mattie Cunningham both of Tyler; Linda (Charles) Young, Winona; Ellen Battee, Houston; Lessie (O.C.) McFarland, Lindale, and Jewel (Marvel) Daniels, Lancaster.
Family will receive friends from 6-7 pm and public viewing will be from 1-7 pm Friday, August 12, 2016 at Community Funeral Home of Tyler Chapel.
