Lee, Glenda Lee, 64, high school teacher, died Aug. 11. Services 10 a.m. Monday, Newcastle Christian Church (John M. Ireland, Moore).

Glenda Roynelle Lee departed this life on August 11, 2016, following a long illness, at the age of 64 years. Glenda was born in Houston, Texas on December 12, 1951, and was raised in Pasadena, Texas.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Curtis Lee, of their home in Newcastle, Oklahoma; her daughters, Amanda Cawley (Bryan) of Celina, Texas and Stephanie Garrett (Bryan) of Moore, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Annalise Cawley, Brynlee Cawley, Camille Garrett, and Grady Garrett; as well as numerous cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends. Glenda was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Kingsbury; father, Carl Kingsbury; and step-mother, Flonnie Coy-Kingsbury.

She went to school at TCU (Texas Christian University.) Glenda retired from teaching high school science, anatomy, and biology, after 30 years in the classroom at Newcastle High School in 2003. She was active in the Newcastle Christian Church. Glenda touched many lives in her career and counted doctors, dentists, and many other occupations of former students as successes during her career. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Glenda will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, please bring children’s shoes, which will be delivered to a homeless shelter. Shoes may be brought to the funeral at Newcastle Christian Church, John M. Ireland Funeral Home, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma, or delivered directly to a homeless shelter in Glenda’s name.

Funeral Services for Glenda will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 15, 2016, at Newcastle Christian Church, located at 2200 N. Main Street, in Newcastle, Oklahoma. Interment will take place at 2:30 PM, at Memory Lane Cemetery, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
