VIOLA GRACE CROUCH 87, of Alvin Texas passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her residence. Viola was born August 1, 1929 in Spur, Dickens County, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Alvin, Texas since the age of 3. She was an active member of Alvin Church of the Nazarene where she served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and secretary and steward of the Church Board. She also played the piano and organ for the church. Viola attended Alvin public schools from the first grade through high school graduation in 1945, then attended Southern Nazarene University. She was employed by the late Dr. Carlos E. Fuste Jr. for 25 years, then for 25 1/2 years by Kelsey-Seybold Clinic of Houston until her retirement in 2009. Her life was devoted to serving her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and helping her family and many friends however and whenever she could.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Franklin Sr. and Rhea Grace Shappaugh Crouch; three sisters: Lucille Francis Weaver, Winnie Faye Slentz and Myrtle Alyce Bock; two brothers: John David Crouch and Willis Crouch Jr.; and a dear friend, Jackie Hueske.

Viola is survived by one brother, Robert Jackson "Bobby" Crouch and wife Betty of Johnstown, Colorado; three nieces: Sharon Geringer of Wyoming, Donna Bullock and Nancy Kaderka of Bryan, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Alvin Church of the Nazarene, 1611 W. South St., Alvin, TX 77511. Service will be officiated by Pastor Jay Williams.
