Findagrave is wrong not to have a listing for British Colonies of the New World; because my Edward Morris Sr. was born in Virginia when it was a colony of the crown of England.

Edward & his wife, Elizabeth Milner Elder, widow of Peter Elder, lived in North Farnham Parish, Virginia & their children are listed on her Will in Richmond Co, VA—again, before the Revolutionary War that ended in 1783, creating America.

her first husband, a Scotsman, Peter Elder, whose Will was recorded on 8 Sep 1687. Elizabeth and Peter Elder had a son, William Elder, and he is named as co-executor on her 1741 Will.
Our Elizabeth was born about 1666 in VA, likely the daughter of John MILLNER and Katherine WARHAM. In that era, Wills were witnessed by family members; and two witnesses for Elizabeth's Will were John Millner Jr. and his son, most likely her brother and her nephew.
Edward Morris Sr died before 1710 in Richmond Co, VA. We know this because records show his widow, Elizabeth, was soon married to her third husband, Theophilus King who, himself, died in 1711. We believe Edward's death was unexpected because he did not leave a Will. His son, Edward Jr, assumed administration of his estate in 1718 by signed permission of his mother, Elizabeth.
Our Elizabeth (Millner) Elder Morris King died in 1741 in Richmond Co, VA. Her Will was filed 21 Dec 1739 and proved 6 Jul 1741; so she may have been ill for a couple of years.
Edward and Elizabeth had the following known children – taken from Elizabeth's 1741Will
1. Elizabeth MORRIS was born 5 Aug 1688 in VA. She is named in her Mother's Will; and her birth is recorded on the North Farnham Parish Register.
2. Mary MORRIS named as daughter and Co-Executor with her half-brother, William Elder, on her Mother's Will.
3. Edward E. MORRIS Jr named as son and administrator of his father's estate and named as son on his mother's 1741 Will. Edward E. Jr. died 1752.
*William Elder, half-brother of our Edward E. Jr., is Elizabeth's son by her first husband, Peter Elder, and he is named as son and co- executor along with her daughter, Mary Morris as Co-Executor with her half-brother Wm. Elder on Elizabeth's 1741 Will.
