Larry J Rich, of Mt. Pleasant, IA died Monday August 8, 2016 of natural causes at Good Samaritan in Ottumwa.

A time for remembrance will be held at Rumors in Mt. Pleasant on August 20 from 10 AM – 12 PM. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.

Survivors include his sons, Joe Rich (Elizabeth O’Neill-Rich) Chad Rich (Heather Rich) and Matthew Rich. He is additionally survived by his 5 siblings, 6 grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law.

Larry was born July 14, 1949 in Washington, Iowa.

Larry worked for Bluebird Midwest as a loyal employee for more than 35 years.

Larry was the proud father of three sons and was so happy to see them become fathers themselves. He especially enjoyed time with friends, his siblings and time at the river. Larry was especially available during his retirement to help friends and family particularly with commutes to medical appointments. Larry believed in providing help or a favor whenever he possibly could. Larry loved a good story and especially a great laugh.
