Wayne "Red" Hollingsworth, 48, of Newton, MS died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born Tuesday, May 7, 1968 in Newton, MS.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Pine Bluff Baptist Church in Newton, MS. Burial will follow at church cemetery. Bro. Josh Lang and Bro. Ben Laird and Bro. Lin Chesney will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements.

Wayne loved his family and will be missed by all. He was an avid Ole Miss fan and enjoyed his farm animals especially his chickens, ducks, and goats. He was a loyal employee of La-Z-Boy with almost 30 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his grand father, Glenn Strickland; grand father, Otis Hollingsworth and grand mother, Agnes Hollingsworth.

Survivors include his father, Bud Hollingsworth; mother, Peggy Lynn Hollingsworth; brother, Doug Hollingsworth (Linda) and niece, Chelsea Anderson (Cody) and grand mother, Clara Strickland.
